VESSELS, Amira and Super Speeds

A photo of me and an Arri Amira is on the latest AFI Conservatory recruitment flyer. This was pre-production shooting for our thesis VESSELS.

Both stills are bts from my thesis film VESSELS (not from the "First Year Boot Camp" excercise as labelled above).

The Arri Amira camera kit and Zeiss Super Speed vintage lens set were kindly donated to us by amazing DP (and AFI alumni) Rick Diaz. Thank you, Rick, VESSELS loves you!

Shooting with the Amira and Super Speeds combo was easy and fun. It was lightweight, fast to build and easy to trasport. A nice size/weight combo for steadicam and hand held!Perfect for the kind of hectic, on the street shooting that half of VESSELS required.
